Molex Antenna Solutions

Based on diverse manufacturing and RF technologies, Molex standard antennas offer high performance and ease of integration for demanding wireless applications spanning the industrial, consumer, medical and automotive markets.

The development of M2M, IoT and consumer wearable technologies placed new requirements on antenna design and performance with space, cost and speed-of-integration as key components of advanced wireless manufacturing. Growing demand for dual-band, multi-band, ultra wide band, GPS and Cellular antennas with combo capabilities that reduce engineering support at component level design right through to how easily these antennas connect to the radio devices they operate with, determine the justification of their deployment in these applications. Molex’s expanding array of antenna solutions address present connectivity requirements with anticipated support for revolutionary communications of the future.

The current selection of Molex standard antennas are designed for M2M communication over the ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) bands and cellular bands (including GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS [3G] band-1 and LTE band-7), as well as applications running Wi-Fi and mobile TV (DVB-H and CMMB).

Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) Antennas
Molex's Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) Antennas combine high RF performance with ease of integration over 433, 868 and 915 MHz bands for advanced devices. Molex's ISM series antennas reduce volume up to 75% compared to conventional designs. The topside of the poly-flexible antenna makes for easy peel-and-stick mounting anywhere within the device chassis.

  • GNSS/Wi-Fi Combo Ceramic Antennas
    Molex's GNSS/Wi-Fi Combo Ceramic Antennas offer a combination of long-range connectivity, high power efficiency and easy integration advantages of IoT, GPS and M2M applications. The feeding pad for the GNSS band and the 2.4/5GHz band feeds electrical signals from the transmission line on the PCB to the antenna for Wi-Fi band irradiation. The grounding pad provides electrical grounding of the antenna onto the application PCB.

  • Cellular 790 to 2700 MHz Antennas
    Molex's Cellular 790 to 2700 MHz antenna product line provides extended cellular bands spanning 698 to 2700 MHz for IoT applications. Fixing pads firmly anchor the antenna housing onto the SMT pads of the PCB while the grounding pad ensures the antenna is safely grounded on the applications PCB.

  • Molex Tri-Band Wifi Antenna
    Molex WiFi Triple-band SMT Antennas help bring Internet connectivity to places where walls and barriers present a challenge. The antennas use a 900MHz frequency to penetrate areas of interference. This allows for reduced power consumption and a wider signal range than their 2.4/5GHz counterparts.

  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Antennas
