Samtec Hermaphroditic Connectors Reduce Costs and Increase Flexibility

Samtec hermaphroditic interface systems feature polarization to prevent incorrect mating and audible "clicks" to verify proper seating on .025" (0,635mm) .100", 2mm (.0787") and .100" (2,54mm) pitch. These connectors are self mating and therefore can reduce inventory costs by reducing the number of part numbers that must be stocked.

For micro pitch applications, a system on .025" (0,635mm) pitch (LSS Series) provides full shrouding, board spacings from 6mm to 12mm, and up to 100 I/Os. On 2mm (.0787") pitch, a fully shrouded system (LS2 Series) provides up to 60 I/Os and board-to-board spacings from .380" (9,65mm) to .540" (13,71mm). Right-angle, surface mount, and application specific designs are available for other board-to board applications. The .100" (2,54mm) pitch system (LST Series) provides up to 60 I/Os and a board-to-board spacing of .535" (13,60mm). It features Samtec's Tiger Buy™ contacts. Applications specific designs are available for other configurations and spacings. Pricing begins .06¢ - .08¢ per mated line.
