Interactive High Speed Cable Builder

Samtec has released an interactive "High Speed Cable Assembly Builder" program at www.samtec.com that makes it as easy as a "click" to create valid Samtec High Data Rate Cable part numbers.
This program currently allows specification of high speed Q Strip® assemblies on 0.5mm (.0197") and 0.8mm (.0347") pitch (HQCD & EQCD Series) and JTAG interfaces (HHSC Series) on .100" (2,54mm) pitch. Standard options such as cable length, wiring configuration, and screw features for rugged applications are easily specified with this program.
Assemblies are manufactured with 38 AWG low dielectric constant (dk=2.1) micro co-ax cable. They are ideal for longer lengths up to 18", high flexing applications up to 40,000 cycles, and small bend radii of 2.5mm of less. These assemblies also offer low skew and superior EMI performance. Solder joints are fully encapsulated for added reliability. EQSD systems perform up to 1.1GHz at 18" given a -3dB insertion loss. HQCD systems perform up to 737MHz at 18" given a -3dB insertion loss.
