New Q2™ Shielded Connector System From Samtec

Samtec's new Q2™ shielded connector system (QMSS/QFSS) series) provides EMI suppression by incorporating shield plates along the sides of the connector, and terminating them to the PCB via selected signal pins. Both single ended and differential pair versions are available as standard. Application specific options with other signal/ground configurations are also available.

This new system has signal pins on .025" (0,635mm) pitch and is available with 52, 104, 156 and 208 total pins pre connector set. It is hot-pluggable with the shields and ground plane mating first followed by the signal pins. Application specific options allow three stage hot-pluggability by reducing the height of selected signal pins.

Connectors are polarized to assure proper mating. In addition to vertical mating with 11mm (.433") spacing between boards, edge-mount, power combo, and non-shielded versions are available.
