Samtec Releases New Discrete Wire Connector & Tooling Guide

Samtec has announced the release of its new Discrete Wire Connector & Tooling Guide. This guide gives an overview of crimp products and tooling from Rugged Circular, MiniMate®, and PowerMate™ connectors to hand tooling, semi-automated bench-top terminating units, and mini-applicators.

Samtec rugged circular connectors are industry standards (RCC1 Series) with crimp contacts and terminals that will accept wire gauges from 14 to 30 AWG, and high density (RCC2 Series) and micro-high density (MRCC Series) designs that will accept wire gauges from 20 to 28 AWG.

Also available are D-Sub shells (DSM-CP Series) for discrete wire gauges from 20 to 28 AWG, MiniMate® (IPD1 Series) with wire gauges from 20 to 30 AWG, and PowerMate™ (IPBD Series) with wire gauges from 16 to 24 AWG.

Hand Tools (CAT-HT Series) are ideal for low volume, pre-production and repair applications. Bench-top terminating units (CAT-3000 Series) and Mini Applicators (CAT-MA Series) allow quick change and semi-automated terminating with press capacities up to 3000 pounds. Several repair and extraction tools are also available.
