TE Connectivity New Field-Installable Industrial Ethernet Modular Plug Requires No Tools --- Flexible 45° Cable Outlet Saves Space
Based on the Industrial Ethernet field-installable RJ-45 modular plug, TE Connectivity has recently released a new version, equipped with a flexible 45° cable outlet. The Industrial Ethernet field-installable RJ-45 modular plug 45° benefits from a robust and fast termination technology, enabling a timesaving and flexible installation in the field without any special tools. The new IP20-rated modular plug is typically used in compact cabinet applications in automation and network environments.
Ideal for Fast (4 pos.) and Gigabit (8 pos.) Ethernet applications, the Industrial Ethernet field-installable RJ-45 modular plug 45° features a two step locking mechanism (jack and supporting frame) for reliable connections in harsh environments: a metal-lance lock with the jack and the optional supporting frame offers a secondary locking.
Technical details include a rated current of 500mA per pin, a durability of 750 mating cycles and a wide operating temperature range of -40 up to +70 degrees Celsius. The new angled RJ-45 modular plug, suitable for use with 4 wire AWG 22 and 8 wire AWG 26 cables, meets TIA/EIA 568 category 5e requirements and is compliant to IEC60603-7-1.
