Used in both military-aerospace and commercial applications, MIL-DTL-26482 I harsh environment connectors feature rugged aluminum shells with standard olive drab cadmium plating. These connectors, available with crimp M39029 contacts or solder contacts, come in various configurations including wall mount, box mount, bulkhead mount, cable connecting, jam nut, and hermetic receptacles, as well as straight plugs. With 7 shell sizes and 60 insert patterns for solder contacts, and 6 shell sizes with 47 insert patterns for crimp contacts, they offer versatility in connectivity solutions. The connector, part of Series I, is designed for optimal performance in demanding environments, with a maximum operating temperature of 125 °C and a minimum of -55 °C. The contact size 16(3) is ideal for applications requiring three contacts, and the contact type of Hermetic Solder Contacts ensures reliable connections. Mating is facilitated through a bayonet mechanism, and the connector features a jam nut mounting style. With gold contact plating, nickel and fused tin finish coating, and ferrous alloy shell material, these connectors are built to withstand harsh conditions while providing a hermetically sealed and conductive connection.
