| 10/14/2021 | P-21-021583 - Document clarification. We previously reported in April 2020 that these products contained SVHC BPA above the REACH threshold of 0,1%. This was based on an updated material declaration from our supplier of the terminal sealing adhesive in its liquid state, as delivered to us. We have now found out, that the majority of this SVHC vanishes during chemical reactions while the adhesive is cured. After curing, which represents the state in which all our relays are shipped, the content of SVHC BPA is below the REACH threshold of 0,1% and therefore the relays are REACH compliant without exemptions. Our Statements of Compliance for the relays have been updated accordingly and are linked to the affected products on TE.com. We assume, that this threshold was actually never surpassed on our finished product since the terminal sealing adhesive was introduced in September 2017. | Download | |||
| 04/29/2021 | P-21-020820 - Product Improvement. we decided to improve our packaging for SR4 and SR6 relays to reduce the impact of the environmental conditions during the shipment, especially the harsh conditions of humid and salty air during oversea transport. Therefore instead of placing the carton-tubes directly into the shipping box, we added a transparent plastic bag in the shipping box in which the carton-tubes are inserted, together with a small desiccant bag. No changes were made to the shipping box, the carton tubes or their orientation in the box, only the plastic bag and desiccant bag were added. In order to benefit from the improved packaging as soon as possible, all lots produced since 5th of April 2021 (calendar week 14 or date code 2114) are featuring this improved packaging design. | Download | |||
| 08/19/2020 | E-20-008880 - Manufacturing / Process Requirements. The following part numbers contain contact rivets, for which TE has approved an additional supplier (second source). The contacts from the additional supplier are identical in form and dimensions, in their material, manufacturing process as well as their specification. The product specifications of SR4 and SR6 relays remain unchanged. | Download | |||
| 04/24/2020 | P-20-018970 - SoC/REACH Correction & Clarification. , since September 2017 we use an adhesive, which contains SVHC BPA above REACH threshold of 0.1%. Our Statement of Compliance for the relays did not consider this fact, as it is based on a material declaration from our supplier, which turned out to be wrong. After detecting this error, since March 2020 we corrected the product compliance declaration accordingly and these are linked to the affected products on our homepages. We are working to find potential alternative adhesives, which might enable us to declare containing REACH SVHC below threshold again, but for the time being, the SoC similar to the enclosed is valid for the SR4M/D & SR6 relay series. | Download | |||
| 07/19/2019 | E-19-011155 - As of July 15th 2019, TE Connectivitys SR6 6 pole Force Guided Relay has regained the approval to carry the China Compulsory Certificate (CCC) mark of product certification. Starting with Datecode 1930, all eligible SR6 Relays produced thereafter will have the CCC mark printed on them. | Download | |||
