SNAPAK® Series Compact UL489A, UL1077, TUV, CCC Up to 30A AC & DC
The Airpax™ SNAPAK® Series integrates three essential functions—power switching, fusing, and fuse holding—into a single compact device. For OEMs, this translates to mounting one component instead of three, reducing assembly time, minimizing inventory by two-thirds, and enabling higher panel density with a cleaner layout.
Formerly known as the 213 circuit breaker family, this category includes the Airpax B, CB, CPR, CPP, CR, CT, PP, PR, R, and T series.
With its snap-action mechanism, the SNAPAK® ensures rapid and reliable contact engagement and disengagement. This design prevents slow or incomplete actuation (also known as contact “teasing”) and significantly reduces electrical arcing. SNAPAK® circuit protectors are UL Recognized as supplementary protectors under UL Standard 1077, CSA Certified per C22.2 No. 235, TÜV approved to EN 60934 for equipment protection, CCC certified (when manufactured in China upon request), and CE compliant.
Typical uses include electronic data processing equipment, medical devices, office machines, vending systems, and amusement or gaming machines.
Key Features & Benefits:
Integrated – Functionality Combines a power switch, fuse, and fuse holder into one compact unit—saving space and simplifying system design.
Snap-Acting Mechanism – Ensures quick and decisive contact operation, minimizing arcing and preventing operator “teasing” of the contacts for more reliable performance.
Compact and Space-Saving Design – Ideal for dense panel layouts; increases panel density and reduces component clutter, perfect for OEM applications.
UL 1077 Recognized and CSA Certified & TÜV and CE
Variety of Mounting and Termination Options – Current Ratings Available in a wide range of current ratings (typically 0.5A to 20A) to support various load requirements.
Reliable Arc Suppression – Design minimizes electrical arcing during operation, enhancing longevity and safety of the device.
Wide Application Range – Commonly used in office equipment, medical devices, data processing systems, vending machines, and industrial controls.
209 Series UL(489,489A,1500), TUV Up to 125A 10,000AIC
The 209 family of circuit breakers encompasses models from the 209, 219, 229, 239, 249, 259, 269, to the 279 Series. Designed for branch circuit protection, the 209 Series is well-suited for equipment such as EDP systems, air conditioning units, lighting control, and panel boards. This versatile line is available in configurations ranging from one to six poles, with multiple terminal options to fit diverse application requirements. Based on the hydraulic-magnetic principle, these breakers are built to perform reliably across a variety of environments.
Unlike fuses and thermal devices, these breakers are unaffected by temperature shifts. Their magnetic/ampere-turn operation reduces false tripping caused by ambient temperature changes. As inrush currents from devices like ferroresonant transformers, lighting systems, and capacitive filters become more prevalent, the standard inertial delay—integrated into all 50/60Hz time-delay versions—offers a solution, though it can be removed where unnecessary. The 209 Series is engineered to handle high surge currents without premature tripping or deviation from designed delay profiles—delivering consistent protection without derating.
Features & Benefits:
- Trip Free – Will trip open on overload, even when forcibly held on. This prevents the operator from damaging the circuit by holding the handle in the ON position.
- Trip Indication – The operating handle moves positively to the OFF position on overload.
- Environmental Specifications – Moisture and fungus resistance is provided by the use of moisture resistant finishes. Special springs and treatment for all ferrous parts eliminate inherent moisture-related problems. The use of fungi inert cases and handles avoids fungus-related problems.
- Current Ratings – 209/219/229 may be supplied with these ratings: DC, 50/60Hz, 400Hz, 0.1 to 100 amperes. 279 types may be supplied with DC ratings only, 0.1 to 100 amperes.
- Voltage Ratings – On 209/219/229, voltages up to and including 240Vac, 50/60Hz or 400Hz, or 125Vdc are available. Multi-pole units can be supplied for 277Vac/480Vac, 50/60Hz. 279 types are available with a voltage of 160Vdc. All units will be marked with the standard maximum voltage. UL Listed breakers will be labeled with the UL listed voltage.
- Auxiliary Switch Ratings – When supplied shall be S.P.D.T. configuration with a maximum rating of 10 amperes 250Vac.
- Mounting Considerations – A three-inch spacing must be provided between the circuit breaker and vent and any conductive surface. If closer than three inches is necessary, then an insulator must be installed on the conductive surface.
- Solderless Connectors – Connectors are rated AL9 CU. and accept either copper or aluminum conductors. Units are suitable for use with both 60° and 75° wire. Optional pressure plate for fine stranded wire is available. Contact factory for details.

The IEL, IUL, and LEL magnetic circuit protectors deliver cost-effective power switching, dependable circuit protection, and precise circuit control for globally deployed equipment. IEL models are ideal for use cases where their core performance is beneficial but formal compliance with global standards is not essential.
The IUL series meets the testing and approval criteria of UL 1077 for UL-recognized supplementary protection. IEL and LEL models carry TÜV approval to TUV 0660, part 101, and satisfy IEC spacing requirements, mandatory for equipment built to meet IEC 601 and 950, as well as TÜV 0804 and 0805.
