Protecting essential equipment and ensuring personnel safety is made possible through Sensata Technologies’ premium-grade solutions. Their extensive product lineup features highly customizable, hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers designed to resist vibration and eliminate the derating issues commonly seen with thermal breakers. Sensata’s engineering experts collaborate directly with customers to deliver tailored solutions. With manufacturing facilities strategically located and a robust global distribution network, they ensure consistent product availability and dependable worldwide support. Hydraulic-Magnetic Circuit Breakers – Use magnetic flux to detect overcurrent conditions and a hydraulic tube to control the trip timing, allowing for accurate, delayed response to sustained overloads.

Features & Benefits:

  • Better Handling of Inrush Currents – React faster to inrush current than thermal/thermal magnetic circuit breakers at overloads typically less than 800% of rated current
  • Temperature Independent Ratings & Trip Points – Performance is not affected by variations in ambient temperature
  • Widest Range of Trip Time Delays – Fluid properties within the hydraulic tube can be tailored to provide precise, application-specific time delays and trip curves

  • High pressure (>750psi / 50bar). Micro Silicon Strain Gauge solutions provides rugged reliability and a hermetic seal for a wide variety of environments.
  • Mid pressure (100 to 750psi / 6 to 50 bar). Ceramic capacitive or MEMS solutions offer a wide range of solutions tailored to application needs at superior value.
  • Low pressure (inches of water to 100psi / 2mbar to 6 bar). MEMS solutions including TPMS offer extremely low power consumption and wireless connectivity.

Sensata | Cynergy3 designs and manufactures flowmeters and flow switches engineered to precisely measure liquid volumes, ensuring accurate dispensing across a broad range of industrial systems. In cooling applications, maintaining proper fluid flow is critical to system efficiency. Their ultrasonic flowmeters are available with multiple output configurations. Cynergy3 flow switches are capable of being configured to automatically regulate flow, triggering pumps on or off as needed to maintain flow rates within specified limits. In data center cooling systems, float switches are used to monitor coolant levels, detect overflow or leakage, trigger alarms or system shutdowns, and automate pump control. By providing early warnings or automating control responses, float switches help protect critical cooling infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted operation in data centers.

Contactors & Relays

Sensata Technologies offers a wide range of contactors and switches that are critical to ensuring power control, safety, and reliability in datacom applications—including servers, networking equipment, data centers, and telecom infrastructure.

  • High reliability and long operational life for 24/7 systems
  • Compact and scalable designs for dense server and network racks
  • Fast switching times and arc suppression for high-voltage DC systems
  • Custom options for unique datacenter architectures

These are electromechanical or solid-state devices used to control high-voltage or high-current circuits remotely. Sensata’s contactors are known for high performance, long life, and compact designs.

  • Power Distribution Units (PDUs): Control and disconnect high-voltage power supplies in modular PDUs for racks and servers.
  • UPS Systems & Battery Backup: Switch between grid power and battery backup.
  • Energy Storage Systems (ESS): Isolate or connect battery banks in edge computing and hybrid energy data centers.
  • Remote Power Control: Enable remote shutdown or power cycling of server racks for maintenance or emergencies.

Solid state relays (SSRs) are electronic switching devices that use semiconductor components—such as thyristors, triacs, or transistors—instead of mechanical contacts to switch electrical loads. They perform the same basic function as electromechanical relays (EMRs), but without moving parts. Sensata’s SSRs—offered under Crydom™ and Sensata brands—are used extensively in datacom and telecom environments for power management, thermal control, and signal integrity.

Sensata offers panel mount, DIN rail mount, plug in, and digital I/O solid state relays in both AC and DC output.
