SUMITUBE™ is heat-shrinkable tubing that takes advantage of the shape-memory effect of plastics enhanced by electron beam irradiation. It is made mainly from raw materials such as polyolefin, fluorinated polymer, or thermoplastic elastomer. SUMITUBE™ is widely used in various industrial fields (electric equipment, automobile, and aviation) for bundling, thermal protection, and insulation protection of electrical wires and harnesses, as well as for other purposes.
Sumitag HTS heat shrink tubing is a high temperature rated, highly flame retarded markable product, manufactured to the highest
quality controls and manufacturing standards. This sleeving is suitable for applications where extremely high temperatures and exposure to harsh chemicals are found.
Flame retardant, zero halogen, low smoke, low toxicity ra-diation cross linked UV stabilized, printable polyolefin. Ideal where limited fire hazard properties must be the de-facto standard. Typical use in mass transit, marine and industrial installations where human safety is at risk. The markers are pre-conditioned for printing with the Sumitag™ printers and approved ribbons to meet industry standards. They are supplied in ladder format for ease of handling and sort-ing post printing.
