The MIL-DTL-38999 III (D38999) harsh environment connectors in this series feature wall mount receptacles, jam nut receptacles, and straight self-locking RFI plugs. Available in 9 shell sizes and 54 insert arrangements, they utilize M39029 contacts in various sizes to accommodate different applications. With shell materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and lightweight composite, and plating options such as olive drab cadmium, nickel, black zinc nickel, and passivated stainless steel, these connectors offer versatility. They also come in RoHS-compliant, cadmium-free finishes, meeting environmental regulations. Designed for rugged use, these connectors are ideal for military, aerospace, and industrial applications, with operating temperatures ranging from -65°C to 200°C (-85°F to 392°F) ensuring reliability in extreme conditions. The jam nut receptacle variant, with 61 contacts in shell size 25 and contact size 20(61), features a triple start threaded mating type and E keyway polarization. Constructed with a conductive Cadmium Olive Drab plated composite shell, it offers excellent conductivity and protection against environmental factors, making it suitable for demanding environments where secure and reliable connections are essential.
