| 07/31/2025 | PCN-25-240850 - Manufacturing location change. We are transitioning the plating of the contacts used in our connectors to in-house production at our Adelberg facility. This change aims to enhance the reliability and flexibility of our supply chain. We will move forward with a fast-track production release for the metal contacts used as components in our connectors. The in-house plating have confirmed technical feasibility via sample trials or previous series production releases. The new plating facility will perform the standard control and quality measures on individual production batches, which are obligatory to comply with our internal series production and product specifications. These measures will include: Thickness measurements Optical and adhesion tests Minor optical differences may be possible due to different tooling. All other process steps during the manufacturing of our products will remain according to our existing releases. The alternative plating supply chain does not change the fit, form, or function of the product but implies a manufacturing location change. Timing: Juli 2025 Background on the Insourcing of Product to Our Adelberg Plating Facility: For our connectors listed below, we will change the supply chain of the plated contacts by insourcing this process into our new in-house plating facility in Adelberg, in exchange for our current plating suppliers. The internal serial production will start in July 2025. The insourcing will be operated without part number changes, will increase the reliability of the supply chain, and will have no impact on the form, fit, or function of these products. | Download | |||
