TE's New Termination Solutions for Aluminum Magnet Wire
TE Connectivity (TE) introduces new magnet wire terminations for aluminum wire. The switch from copper to aluminum magnet wire is an increasingly popular trend with many manufacturers due to the potential cost savings. While the actual savings depends on the final product specifications, TE estimates that for achieving the same electrical conductivity, manufacturers using aluminum magnet wire vs copper magnet wire could see up to 45% lower material cost.
