Coaxial Cable

Coaxial cable is a type of electrical cable comprising a central conductor, typically made of copper or aluminum, encased in an insulating layer, surrounded by a metallic shield, and finally protected by an outer insulating layer. This design minimizes signal interference and loss, making it ideal for transmitting high-frequency electrical signals. The inner conductor carries the electrical signal, while the metallic shield serves to contain and shield the signal from external interference. Widely used in telecommunications, cable television, and computer networks, coaxial cables provide reliable and efficient transmission of data and video signals over long distances with minimal signal degradation.
