Hirose FH34D Back-Flip Actuator FPC/FFC ZIF Connector
Hirose's FH34 Series flexible printed circuit & flexible flat cable ZIF connectors feature a 0.5mm pitch, 1.0mm height above board, and a 3.8mm width, which is suitable for space-saving applications. These connectors also feature a unique back-flip rotating actuator that assures reliable electrical and mechanical connections. The FH34D series combines the high retention force with smooth FPC/FFC insertion via a tapered housing opening. The FPC connector is designed for automated pick-and-place installation to simplify the manufacturing/assembly process.
- Top/Bottom contact design
- 0.5mm pitch, 1.0mm above the board, 3.8mm width
- Increased FPC/FFC retention force as compared with existing similar construction connectors: horizontal direction (approx. 2.6x higher) & vertical direction (approx. 2x higher)
- FPC/FFC retention force can be further enhanced by the mechanism of locking contacts (in horizontal direction: approx. 2.5N higher than FH34SRJ)
- Proven Flip Lock actuator allows easy insertion of FPC and provides a tactile sensation when fully closed, confirming complete electrical and mechanical connection
- FPC/FFC can be immediately inserted without the need for the opening of the actuator
- 0.3mm thick standard FPC can be used. This is the only ultra-low profile ZIF connector using standard FPC
- Conductive traces on the PCB can run under the connector. No exposed contacts on the bottom of the connector
