| 02/02/2024 | P-24-025682 - Source and grade change of chlorinated polymer used in wire and cable insulation material. TE Connectivity was notified of a discontinuance by its supplier of a chlorinated polymer used in the insulation material of select wire and cables. This chlorinated polymer is a substituent found in a polyolefin-based compound material used as the insulation layer for wire and cables manufactured to TE s Specifications, including but not limited to WCD 3314, Specification 1200, and Specification 35. Due to the discontinuance, TE Connectivity has identified a suitable alternative grade of the chlorinated polymer from a different supplier. The alternate was validated on several wire and cable constructions to ensure specification requirements were unaffected by the change. Internal validations demonstrated no change to fit, form and function. This change will be implemented in February of 2024.
