This material is used in the insulation layer(s) in Specification 80 single-wall and dual-wall wire and cable constructions. Effective August 2024, TE will be using Flex compound resin material provided by its supplier that has been manufactured from an alternative production equipment. The functionality, design and productivity of this processing equipment was deemed similar if not equivalent to the existing equipment used to manufacture the compound resin material that has been used previously. To ensure no change to fit, form or function were incurred because of the change, an internal validation was conducted. Based on testing performed on constructions specified in TE s Specification 80, minimal to no change in the performance of the wire and cable were observed and requirements from internal specifications were met. | Download | |||
